You and your dog will learn the following:

1.⁠ ⁠Dog needs a tag, owner needs a poo bag

2.⁠ ⁠Positions; hold a sit for 30 seconds at 5 paces away OR a down for 60 seconds at 10 paces away

3. Lead walking; 100m on a loose lead including two turns and a sit (in two different environments)

4.⁠ ⁠To go through a gate/doorway with no pulling or lunging

5.⁠ ⁠Lead walking with distractions; 100m on a loose lead with at least 3 dogs present in close proximity

6. 60 second wait in a controlled manner next to 2 other dogs

7. Recall from 50m away with lead clipped on at the end

8.⁠ ⁠No jumping up/lunging/barking at 3 different approaching people

9. Wait with a bowl of food on the floor for ten seconds before released to feed OR wait ten seconds with a toy present before instructed to play

10. Leave a treat dropped on the floor for at least 10 seconds

11. ⁠A trick of choice: spin/speak/bow/paw/round a cone etc

12. Recall through 10 different distractions with no stealing or LLW through 10 distractions with no stealing

13. Out of sight stay for a minimum of 20 seconds

These lessons will be on Monday evening, Thursday morning or Saturday morning and are currently at the reduced price of £90 for a block of six plus the 'test' if you'd like it on week 7.

Those that pass and can demonstrate all of the above will get a certificate and a bronze level rosette, plus access to the silver level course! Any age or breed can take part as long as they've had some prior training.

This class is for dogs of all breeds that have had some prior training.
Once the course has started, all places are non-refundable. If it becomes clear that your dog is not suitable to a small group class then the cost of the class will be transferred to cover one to one sessions instead.

If you cannot make one of the sessions then every effort will be made to offer you an alternative for that week. This will be at the discretion of the trainer and where possible, and obviously cannot be every session.

If you wish to cancel or change the start date of your course, then at least 72 hours is required to ensure that your class space can be filled. If at least 72 hours is not given, then a refund cannot be made, and/or a class may not be able to be swapped.

If for any reason any of the sessions need to be postponed or cancelled, for example due to trainer illness, then a session will be added to the end of the block of classes or an alternative provided for those that cannot make that.

During classes, the trainer has the right to withdraw any puppy or dog from classes if they are really struggling in that environment; for example if they are really reactive or really fearful. This very rarely happens, but if you find yourself in that situation, the cost of your class will be transferred to one to one sessions and/or a specific reactivity group.
